Anna Balazs announced as 2013 Mines Medalist
Anna Balazs, a pioneer in the area of predicting the behavior of complex polymeric materials through her theoretical predictions, has been named 2013 Mines Medalist by the South Dakota School of Mines & Technology
Dr. Diana Wall, one of the world's foremost biodiversity experts, was honored as the 2012 Mines Medalist before a capacity crowd at the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center.
Gov. Dennis Daugaard and South Dakota School of Mines and Technology Acting President Duane Hrncir, Ph.D., presented the fourth annual national award, which honors engineers and scientists who have demonstrated exceptional leadership and innovation.
